Presidency Declares Friday 22nd Public Holiday

Ahead of the 2019 presidential election, President Muhammadu Buhari has declared Friday 22nd of February, Public holiday.

This was disclosed by Buhari’s Special Assistant on Media, Bashir Ahmed on Twitter.

According to him, Friday was declared work free day to enable Nigerians prepare for the rescheduled presidential and National Assembly election.

The brief statement reads..

The Federal Government has declared Friday as Workfree Day to enable Nigerians prepare for the rescheduled Presidential and National Assembly Elections on Saturday.”

The general elections had been postponed a week earlier due to some foreseen circumstances in some curtains states in the country and that might be of huge hindrances to a free fair election.

The Presidential and National Assembly elections in set to take pace on Saturday 23rd February, 2019.
